Have been struck down by cold, sore throat and ear infection. Am miserable and depressing everyone around me.
On the other hand, I did manage to finish my current short story draft, and revise and submit last week’s story, on time, so am feeling slightly smug, in between the pain.
Today I’m working on a ‘Story Behind The Story’ post for my novella, The Lord of Summer, from the Xcite Secret Library anthology, Silk Stockings, for KD Grace’s lovely site. It won’t be up for another week, but I’ll let you all know when it goes live. It’s really interesting for me to revisit the story and think about the inspirations behind it. Just hope it’ll be interesting for people to read, too!
I’m off on holiday on Saturday, and will actually be taking a week off while I’m away. Which means that before I go, I need to…

- Write my Smut by the Sea story
- Revise it
- Submit it
There’s actually some leeway on the last two points – the deadline isn’t until June, so I can wait if I think I need more space from the story before I revise it. But on the other hand, I have all sorts of new things to do when I get back from holiday…
We’ll see how it goes. As long as I start feeling better, all things are possible!
